6/07 - I haven't posted any information here since until recently things have been going along without a hitch. Some interesting things have happened recently that require me to post. We're pregnant and due in August. This means re-evaluating our living situation. Since I work so far away from home we've decided to move. This will only affect the computer repair business since I will no longer be taking new customers and customers that I've seen in the past will have to make an appointment. We're relocating to Laingsburg, which is about 20 minutes northeast of Lansing. There will be no more cruising since the cruise line closed the account with the booking agent. More cost cutting. Nevertheless, I've been busy with the clubs in Michigan and am looking forward to time at home with the family. I'm also changing the name of the computer division to "McCaslin PC Repair" for the new location in Laingsburg. 7/06 - Has it been a while since you've seen me perform?? If so, you can see me play at the Villager Pub in Charlevoix July 14th and 15th. It has been almost three years since I've performed locally! I hope to see you there. 6/06 - Well I haven't updated this in a while mostly because not a whole lot has changed. I'm still doing the cruises, playing on weekends when I'm in Michigan in Lansing and working on computers during the week. 12/05 - 1/06 - In Michigan doing various corporate parties with Cool2Duel and playing at Rum Runners in Lansing. Heading back out to the ships in February. I'll be doing fewer and fewer traveling gigs that require extended periods of time away from home. Family life is kicking in! 10/05 - 11/05 - Cruising through Thanksgiving. Back in Michigan after Thanksgiving and the wedding. What wedding you ask? MINE! I'm getting married in Reno on November 22nd before globetrotting back home. I'm the luckiest man alive. I'll be home for December and January and gigging throughout Michigan. Lots of corporate Christmas parties coming up! 08/05 - 10/05 - Cruising, cruising, cruising. I came home for 3 days in the middle of September to surprise Tina and Fred, but then it was back aboard. I will be home for 10 days starting October 10th. My calendar is already getting filled up with computer repair requests and it looks like it won't be much of a vacation. I don't mind though, I enjoy my work and helping out my customers. I will have December and January off from the cruise ships but will continue to play throughout Michigan. 7/05 - The best news of all is that I will get the entire first week of August off. Those of you who are familiar with northern Michigan festivities will know that I won't be a stranger at the Boyne Falls Polish Festival!! The following Saturday is my brother's sister-in-law's wedding reception. I've secured the rest of August on the cruise ship and full time after that. If you are interested in going on a cruise let me know. I may have some inside information for you. 6/05 - The entire month of July will be spent in Mishawaka, IN. I was originally filling in for the entertainment director there who was having throat surgery. The surgery has been cancelled but he still needs my help anyway. It's a Wed-Sat gig so I'll drive back and forth and frequent my home. I hope to make an appearance at the Rum Runners in Lansing and maybe play a Sunday or two. If I get that far east in the state I intend on dropping into my old club in Ypsilanti. After that, who knows, I'm anticipating more cruise ship activity. 5/05 - I spent a weekend in Reno before going all the way back to Florida! I spent 11 days on the Sovereign of the Seas cruise ship then on Friday flew back to Reno and had to play that night! Then Monday it was back on a plane for San Pedro, CA to embark on the Monarch of the Seas. I will be on and off that ship through the end of June. Chris Martin is doing a fine job of holding down the fort for me concerning all PC Repair activities. I can't say he doesn't have his hands full. Although the cruise gig is fun, I am looking forward to seeing family and friends when I get back home the last weekend in June. 4/05 - It looks like I need to play 'catch up'! I've just spent three and a half wonderful weeks in Destin, FL at the Rum Runners Bar down there. I had a great time playing with the boys there and have an open invitation to go back anytime. I only had a few days off after arriving back in Michigan before I had to board a plane for Reno again. 3/3/05 - I just got back from Reno, NV from a weekend gig that doubled as an audition. This gig has opened the door to the west coast as far as dueling piano opportunities go. In April I will most likely be in San Destin, FL and then in May its off to Reno again for a weekend then to Orlando for 10 days on a cruise ship. From there I could be anywhere from Reno again to L.A. on another cruise ship. My computer repair division will suffer as a result, but I can't pass up the opportunities. For those customers out there that have been with me for a while, I will be handing over much of the business to my partner, Chris Martin. I can supply contact information for him by phone or if you call the office, his number will be mentioned in the recording. Besides that, I have made sure that I will be local in the months of July and December, so for those of you that make a list of 'problems' you can save them up and schedule a time for me to meet with you during those months. 2/1/05 - I've resigned as Entertainment Director at Pub 13 in Ypsilanti. I've handed over the reins to the competent Dave Caruso. Good luck Dave! I am doing a large amount of free-lance playing all across the country. Reno, Minneapolis, Chicago and the list goes on and on. For my definitive schedule use the "show schedule" link on the left. |
